Politically, food is central to discussions on sovereignty, security, and global inequality, with conflicts in the Global North exacerbating hunger in vulnerable regions like Somalia and Yemen. Scientifically, it relates to nutrition and learning, while linguistics and media studies analyze food metaphors and representations.
