DESCRIPTION:Born in 1332 and died in 14O6, Ibn Khaldûn was an eyewitness-actor during a long and crucial transitional phase. He was a conscious and sensitive observer of human relationships and the forces that govern them. His experience was enriched thanks to book knowledge but, and above all, from his direct observation, from all social backgrounds in the Maghreb, Andalusia and the East. This is how he produced a synthesis from the history of civilizations, which has been enriched, supported or denied by direct observation and findings over time. This resulted in an inventory. In his approach, he started from the past and then analyzed its present, trying to establish the operating laws of human societies. What does he have to hope for through the approach of said committed historian and fully integrated into the course of history, in theory and in practice?\n
