Rencontre Ibn Khaldun: Screening of the movie Lella (2026), followed by an exchange with Habib Ayeb – September 25, at 6 PM, in Berlin
Our next Rencontre Ibn Khaldun event will exceptionally take place in Berlin, where we are thrilled to present the film “Lella” (2026). Filmed throughout Tunisia, primarily in rural areas, Lella aims to give a face and a voice to ordinary Tunisian women and to document the central role and essential functions they perform daily within their families and in society as a whole. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the geographer and well-known filmmaker Habib Ayeb and Cilja Harders, Professor at Free University of Berlin.
